FAA PROTE Registration

BEFORE YOU BOOK: WHO CAN FLY

The PROTE is operated by the FAA’s Civil Aerospace Medical Institute. Their eligibility rules are federal, not ours — the on-site team verifies them at check-in and cannot make exceptions.

You must:

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Hold a current FAA Class I, II, or III Medical Certificate or BasicMed — and bring physical proof to check-in

You will be turned away if you:

• Have an acute respiratory or systemic infection (including a bad cold)
• Have donated one unit (500 ml) of blood within 24 hours, or more than one unit within 72 hours of your session
• Have consumed any alcohol within eight hours of your session, or are under the influence
