Gelvenor produces two fabrics which are ideally suited to the manufacture of yacht sails and kites.

FABRIC TYPE
Both fabrics are manufactured from nylon 6.6 yarns and are lightweight with high strength. A ripstop weave design adds to the fabrics ability to withstand the rigours of sudden windshift or gusting.

FABRIC FINISH
The finish consists of a U.V. resistant polymer coating which is resiliant and able to bounce back even after being folded up for long periods of time. The fabric also sheds water evenly and quickly. Both fabrics are resistant to sea water.

FABRIC PERFORMANCE
The fabrics are produced with low stretch on the bias which enables them to keep there shape under high wind stress conditions. They also exhibit firmness and rigidity without sacrificing tear strength.
